England centre, Mike Tindall, has been removed from the England Elite squad after off-field antics made him an embarrassment to the RFU. Tindall, who currently plays for Gloucester, has also been fined £25,000 but has appealed the decision. Discussion has been taking place on Twitter and many people are saying the fine is harsh but his international career is effectively over anyway...

Tindall was one of many players who was involved in off-field frolics and it reflected England's play on the field. They reached the quarter-finals but they received a thrashing from France, sending them home. The media made sure the nation knew about England's disappointing performance both on and off the field and when they returned yet more stupidities were reported as Manu Tuilagi was held in police custody for jumping off a ferry.
