This edition of Scrum Five's rugby news round-up includes some stories about the RFU, including the appointment of a new CEO and the retirement of an English Rugby legend. We also have another story about Danny Care included in this edition...

Ritchie appointed as RFU chief executive
With six years of experience at Wimbledon under his belt, Ian Ritchie is the ideal man to take control of an organization in turmoil. Previous CEO, Martyn Thomas, stepped down from his roles within the RFU last month, when the the organization's problems were at their highest. Having introduced two new show courts and a roof on Centre Court at Wimbledon, Ritchie will bring a modern edge to the RFU and will aim to improve the struggling organization.

Danny Care faces fine after arrest
England and Harlequins scrum-half, Danny Care, has been fined by Harlequins after he was arrested by police following Harlequins' loss against Toulouse in Round 3 of the Heineken Cup at the Twickenham Stoop. The RFU will not take any action but Stuart Lancaster punished Care over the phone after his arrest. The money from the fine will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Wilkinson retires from Test rugby
England rugby legend, Jonny Wilkinson, announced his retirement from Test rugby earlier in the week. Wilkinson or Wilko as he is more commonly known, will wave goodbye to an international career consisting of highs and lows. Wilkinson will surely be remembered for his World cup winning drop-goal in Australia eight years ago. Former team mate, Richard Hill said "What Jonny achieved by knocking over that drop-goal will be iconic. It doesn't matter how many times England hopefully go on to win future World Cups he will be the guy who ultimately put the nail in the coffin for the first one."
