London Welsh are set to meet with the RFU ahead of their Championship play-off final second leg with Cornish Pirates tonight at the Kassam Stadium.

They will bring with them an official appeal against the decision to block their promotion to the Premiership which would occur if victorious in tonight's match.

There is an air of uncertainty lingering over tonight's second leg with the winning team not yet knowing whether they will stay in the Championship or join English club rugby's elite in the Premiership next season.

The RFU confirmed last week that London Welsh's application for Premiership status did not meet the required standard but the Richmond based side will appeal that decision if they win tonight.
