- England 67-3 Romania
24 September 2011
Following an OK performance against Georgia, where they should have scored more points, England proved how good they are with a thrashing of Romania.
The feeble rugby minnows couldn't withstand England's attacks and couldn't break through a solid defensive line meaning they only scored three points from a penalty.
Unlike Romania, England began scoring straight away with a 2nd minute penalty from Wilkinson to get the score board rolling.

England's discipline problems continued and within the first six minutes England gave away two penalties which seemed to be the theme for the rest of the match. Cueto opened the try scoring on the sixteenth minute but Wilkinson couldn't convert. Cueto then scored on the 21st and 25th minute giving him his hat trick within half an hour. Wilkinson converted only one of the two tries (21 mins).
Ashton was next to score for England and he did so on the 32nd minute and touched it down neatly under the posts offering an easy conversion for Wilkinson. Minutes later Ashton scored his 2nd try which was converted by Wilkinson.
Dumbrava added Romania's first points in the closing minute of the half meaning the score going into the break was 34-3.
The second half started with another England attack as Tuilagi broke away and linked with Youngs to score a 21 second try. Substitute, Toby Flood couldn't convert the try but England still lead by 39 points to 3. Tuilagi assisted another try by delivering the ball to Ben Foden who went over for yet another try. This time Flood did convert and extended England's lead further.
Tuilagi finally scored a try of his own and Flood converted it. England held 53-3 lead which was certainly unbeatable after an hour of play.
Croft and Ashton both scored in the closing minutes of the match and England finished a fantastic performance with a 67-3 win.
