Ex-British and Irish Lions boss, Sir Ian McGeechan is set to join  former UK Sport performance director Peter Keen to lead a review into elite rugby in England.

The pair will report to RFU chief executive Ian Ritchie, who hopes to have built a strong base from which to build towards the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

"I'm delighted we've got two outstanding individuals involved and this is a very positive move," Ritchie said.

"We have one of the greatest rugby brains of modern times allied with one of the most respected performance experts Great Britain has produced, that experience of best practice at the very top of elite sport can only benefit us." he added.
