England's explosive tackler, Courtney Lawes, has been cited following allegations he kneed Mario Ledesma after tackling him into touch.
The incident occurred in England's clash against Argentina and it is believed that Lawes has breached rule 10.4(a) which is not to punch or strike somebody with the knee.
England coach, Martin Johnson, has said he will provide any information required for the disciplinary hearing which will take place on Tuesday at 3AM (BST) in Auckland.
This citing is the first so far of the Rugby World Cup 2011. The 22 year-old also earned his 11th cap in England's clash with Argentina since he got hist first against Australia in 2010 where he supplied the pass to Chris Ashton to score his memorable try.
England will continue their world cup campaign on Sunday against group minnows, Georgia.
