2 May 2012

In a weekend that will discover which team joins the Championship next season, who will play in the Heineken Cup next season and which teams make the play-offs this season, the big battles that have been on-going throughout the season will finally be brought to an end.

Leicester Tigers already have a secure play-off and Heineken Cup place but they will host Bath who will be seeking a bonus point victory in the hope they can edge past Sale and steal sixth place. London Irish and Gloucester will finish off their seasons at the Madejski Stadium but neither side really has any hope of the Heineken Cup for the 2012/2013 season.

Northampton and Exeter will be battling it out for fourth place and after the Saints got the upper hand last week against the Chiefs at Sandy Park, Exeter will need to pull off something special away at Saracens to get the final play-off spot. Northampton will host Worcester at Franklin's Gardens and will hope to round off their season win a win and a Premiership semi-final place.

Sale Sharks made a big step towards securing Heineken Cup rugby next season with a win over Gloucester in their last game but will face Harlequins in a tough final game at Edgeley Park. Bath and Gloucester are both fighting Sale for the sixth place spot but the two West-Country teams have little hope for Heineken Cup qualification.

And finally, the game you've all been waiting for: London Wasps vs Newcastle Falcons. The relegation battle is coming to a nail-biting end and the 'Falcons Fight Back' could be over if Newcastle can't get a big win on Saturday. Our full preview of the relegation decider will be available soon.
