- Who will be England's next fly-half?
15 November 2011
The RFU and the England coaching team face a tough task in finding the next star fly-half for England. Jonny Wilkinson is coming towards the end of his career after a less than impressive World Cup kicking display despite complaints about the balls that were used. Toby Flood is a possibility but can he become the star that Wilkinson was and can he become more consistent to prove he deserves the starting No. 10 shirt?
Danny Cipriani
Freddie Burns
This young Gloucester starlet is an exciting prospect for English rugby. He is only 21 and a work in progress at Kingsholm. After Nicky Robinson departed from Gloucester last season, Burns has stepped up and proved himself to the Gloucester crowd. He has been a little inconsistent as any youngster would be but perhaps Burns is one to watch for the Rugby World Cup 2015?
Owen Farrell
At the age of 20, Farrell began making his regular first team appearances for Saracens when Alex Goode was injured but he performed so well that the coaching team at Vicarage Road continued playing him. Charlie Hodgson was introduced into the Saracens squad this season meaning Farrell has been gaining experience at centre. Farrell has scored 195 points at Saracens in his career so far and has started in 24 of his 25 appearances for the side. He has represented England Saxons and I am very sure he will be in England's Six Nations squad for 2012.
