Last season many of us believed that Leicester and Northampton had the strongest squads and would easily be champions and we weren't wrong. Saracens were certainly in the mix last season but wouldn't have been considered as the strongest side.However, this season they are most definitely in the top 2 for most people, if not the top team. After Saracens close defeat against Gloucester at the weekend it has become very clear that they have a very strong squad who will take some beating. They put 50 points past Leicester at Welford Road and ended Gloucester's incredible home run which isn't an easy task for any team, let a loan the current Premiership Champions.

During the post match press conference at Kingsholm, Saracens Director of Rugby, Mark McCall, talked about Owen Farrell and how he can play 10, 12 or 13 and also that he is linking up well with new signing, Charlie Hodsgon to create a strong backs line up.



With the likes of Owen Farrell, Charlie Hodgson, Brad Barritt, Schalk Brits and more, Saracens are surely the side to beat this season...
